Our Story

This party aimed to bring, for the first time in New York, the main DJs of the parade and the biggest parties of the famous Patra Carnival, starting from a small bar with 50 people and ending up, a few years later, approaching over 300 people, now with the support of the Region of Western Greece and having evolved into an event that is a pillar of promoting the Patras Carnival abroad.
Meanwhile, alongside the Patras Carnival, Generation Y Productions is also involved in transporting theatrical performances from Greece to bring the Greek-American community, as well as others, into contact with Greek culture and important Greek actors after years. In December 2019, hundreds of Greek-Americans, as well as Armenians, rushed to New York and Boston to watch the play "The Notebooks of Anzel Kourtian” with Greek - Armenian actress, Christina Alexanian, while in 2022, after the lifting of pandemic restrictions, the monologue "Hector's Catharsis" was presented, featuring the popular Greek actor Dimitris Lalos.
In the spring of 2023, the ancient Greek tragedy "Alcestis" by Euripides, produced by the "Choros" Theater (Athens) and directed by Eleni Mavridou with the participation of notable Greek actors, was staged, with the support of the Malliotis Cultural Center, with sold out performances in New York and Boston.
All productions have English supertitles so that viewers who do not speak Greek can also watch them. Among the personalities and officials that attend the events of Generation Y Productions are Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, as well as the Consulate General of New York and Boston, academics from Harvard, Queens College, Boston College, and other universities, as well as prominent members of the Greek-American community.
The goal of Generation Y Productions is to organize even more high-quality events, with artists from both Greece and abroad.
